Bambino Bougs are a range of smaller growing Bougainvillea and are ideally suited to smaller gardens, containers, topiary and hedging.
Jazzi 'Bambino' Bougainvillea thrives in full sun. This compact variety is excellent for small gardens, courtyards, and containers. It can also be used as a low hedge or ground cover. Choose a location with well-draining soil and good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
Jazzi 'Bambino' Bougainvillea prefers a warm, subtropical to tropical climate. It can tolerate light frost once established but should be protected from severe frost and cold winds. Ideal temperatures range between 15-30°C. In cooler regions, consider growing it in a pot that can be moved indoors during winter.
Plant Jazzi 'Bambino' Bougainvillea in well-draining soil. Sandy or loamy soils enriched with organic matter are ideal. This plant can tolerate poorer soils but will perform best in nutrient-rich conditions. Ensure the soil remains moderately moist but not waterlogged to avoid root rot.
Apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring. During the blooming season, use a high-potassium liquid fertiliser to promote vibrant flowers. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilisers as they encourage foliage growth over flowers. Be careful not to over-fertilise, as this can lead to root damage.
