Plant Growing Tips

Where to Grow

Lilly Pilly 'Baby Boomer' prospers in full sun to partial shade. It is ideal for growing in gardens, as a low hedge, or in containers. Ensure the location has well-draining soil and good air circulation to prevent disease.

Climate

Lilly Pilly 'Baby Boomer' prefers a warm, temperate to subtropical climate. It can tolerate light frost once established but should be protected from severe frost and cold winds. Ideal temperatures range between 10-30°C.

Soil Type

Use a well-draining soil. Sandy or loamy soils with good organic matter are ideal. This plant is tolerant of poor soils but will flourish in richer conditions. Ensure the soil remains moderately moist but not waterlogged.

Fertilizer

Fertilise your Lilly Pilly 'Baby Boomer' with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring. Additional feeding can be done during the growing season with a liquid fertiliser if the plant appears to need a boost.
