Grevillea “Fire Drops” is a stunning new cultivar, bearing very large dark pink to red flowers that are over 20cm long and 10cm wide from Autumn through to late Spring. A small to medium shrub ideal for hedging. Bird attracting.
Full sun position. Height 1 – 1.5m, Width 3m.
Grevillea 'Fire Drops' thrives in full sun. It is ideal for growing in gardens, as a feature plant, or as a low hedge. Ensure the location has well-draining soil and good air circulation to prevent disease.
Grevillea 'Fire Drops' prefers a warm, temperate to subtropical climate. It can tolerate light frost once established but should be protected from severe frost and cold winds. Ideal temperatures range between 10-30°C.
Use a well-draining soil. Sandy or loamy soils with good organic matter are ideal. This plant is tolerant of poor soils but will thrive in richer conditions. Ensure the soil remains moderately moist but not waterlogged.
Fertilise your Grevillea 'Fire Drops' with a low-phosphorus, slow-release fertiliser in spring and autumn. Avoid using high-phosphorus fertilisers, as Grevilleas are sensitive to phosphorus.
