Dampiera “Glasshouse Glory”

Dampiera is a clumping semi ground cover perennial with violet blue flowers that are produced over a long period from Spring to Autumn.

It is an ideal cover for dry slopes and rockeries, as a gap filler, or it can also be used in pots.

It is suited to full sun but will tolerate dappled shade .

Is frost and drought tolerant once established.

Will grow 30-50cm wide and 60cm – 1m high.

Prune lightly at the start of spring and give an application of native slow release fertiliser.

Where to Grow

Dampiera 'Glasshouse Glory' thrives in full sun to partial shade. It is suitable for growing in gardens, rockeries, or containers. Ensure the location has well-draining soil and good air circulation to prevent disease.

Climate

Dampiera 'Glasshouse Glory' prefers a warm, temperate to subtropical climate. It can tolerate light frost but should be protected from severe frost and cold winds. Ideal temperatures range between 10-30°C.

Soil Type

Use a well-draining soil. Sandy or loamy soils with good organic matter are ideal. This plant is tolerant of poor soils but will flourish in richer conditions. Ensure the soil remains moderately moist but not waterlogged.

Fertilise your Dampiera 'Glasshouse Glory' with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring. Additional feeding can be done during the growing season with a liquid fertiliser if the plant appears to need a boost.
