Dypsis lutescens.
Golden Cane Palm thrives in bright, indirect light but can also tolerate full sun. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments, making it a versatile plant for homes and gardens. Ensure it receives plenty of light to promote healthy growth.
This plant prefers warm, humid conditions, typical of tropical climates. It grows best in temperatures between 18°C and 26°C. Protect it from cold drafts and temperatures below 10°C, as it is sensitive to cold weather.
Plant the Golden Cane Palm in well-draining soil. A mix of standard indoor potting soil with added perlite or sand will ensure proper drainage and prevent root rot. Avoid heavy, water-retentive soils.
Feed the plant with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser every 2-3 months during the growing season (spring and summer). Use a fertiliser that includes micronutrients like magnesium, manganese, and iron to support healthy growth.
