Monstera or the Swiss Cheese plant is another easy care houseplant that has made a popular resurgence of late.

With their beautiful large glossy dark green leaves they make a great gap filler for the corner of a room.

They are native to tropical south America and prefer a warm humid climate out of any hot direct sunlight . A warm bright room is perfect.

They dont like too much water ,so let them dry out a bit before watering again.

They also dont like wet feet so dont let water sit in the saucer beneath the pot.

Wipe the large leaves down regularly with a soft damp clothe to clean any dust of them.

You may need to stake the plant as it grows and produces aerial roots to keep it stable and upright.

Fertilize with a liquid feed during the spring and summer.
