Pilea “sprinkles” is a very cute little trailing plant with small, fleshy, silvery green round leaves.
It will cascade over a rockery or looks great as an understory planting in a large pot or a hanging basket.
Pilea “Sprinkles” is an easy plant to grow in a warm, sheltered outdoor area in a bright light position.
Do not overwater as this will cause the plant to rot. So let it dry out between waterings.
Liquid feed during the warmer months.
Pilea 'Sprinkles' thrives in bright, indirect light but can also tolerate moderate light conditions. This makes it suitable for indoor environments with filtered light or partially shaded outdoor areas.
This plant prefers warm and humid conditions, similar to tropical regions. It grows best in temperatures ranging from 18°C to 25°C. Avoid exposing it to temperatures below 10°C or sudden cold drafts.
Plant Pilea 'Sprinkles' in well-draining soil. A mix of standard indoor potting soil with added perlite or sand will provide the necessary drainage while retaining enough moisture for healthy growth.
Feed the plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilising in the autumn and winter when the plant's growth slows down.
