Nandina domestica nana.
Nandina Domestica nana, also known as dwarf Sacred Bamboo is a
small evergreen shrub with delicate foliage that turns a crimson to rusty red colour in Autmn through to Winter.
It makes a good small hedge , border or mass planting. It is not actually related to the bamboo family so dont be afraid that it will run and take over the garden. It is a very compact and low maintenance plant as well as being drought and frost hardy.
Dwarf Nandina will grow approximately 50cm x50cm in a full sun position to light shade.
Give it a light clip in spring to keep its shape and use a slow release fertiliser at this time also.
