Creeping Fig "Ficus Pumila"

Creeping Fig “Ficus Pumila”

Ficus pumila

Ficus Pumila is a vigorous evergreen climber that is self adhesive to surfaces. When young it has small heart shaped leaves ,although when the plant is very mature the leaves tend to become larger.

It can be grown in the sun or shade .Keep well watered in the summer if planted in the sun, and feed with slow release fertiliser at the start of spring. For optimal growth provide a liquid feed monthly during Summer.

Great to cover up sheds, fences or walls to give a green wall look. trim any shoots that grow outwards to keep it flush to the surface.

Be careful if growing on rendered or painted walls as it may mark or remove paint if you ever wish to remove the plant

Creeping Fig can grow up to 5m x 5m
