Kalanchoe thyrsiflora.
Kalanchoes are very hardy ,useful plants for garden beds and pots where they will receive little water.
They will thrive in hot dry conditions and will still be alive when you return home from a couple of weeks holiday.
They have beautiful showy bronze coloured leaves and look great in pots or as gap fillers in rockeries.
Once established they will produce a tall spike of flowers from the centre during summer.
Prefers full sun to part shade in well drained soil.
Will form a clump approx. 80cm x 80cm
Kalanchoe Bronze Sculpture thrives in bright, indirect light but can also tolerate some direct sunlight. It is ideal for indoor settings near sunny windows or outdoor environments with filtered sunlight. Make sure the plant gets at least 4-6 hours of light daily for optimal growth.
This plant prefers warm, dry conditions, similar to its native arid environment. It grows best in temperatures between 18°C and 26°C. Protect it from cold drafts and temperatures below 10°C, as it is sensitive to frost.
Plant Kalanchoe Bronze Sculpture in well-draining soil. A cactus or succulent potting mix with added sand or perlite will ensure proper drainage and prevent water retention, which can lead to root rot.
Feed the plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Use a diluted fertiliser to half strength to avoid over-fertilising, which can harm the plant.
