Bougainvillea 'Temple Fire' thrives in full sun. This striking variety is ideal for creating vibrant garden borders, climbing on trellises, or decorating large containers. Select a location with well-draining soil and good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases.
Bougainvillea 'Temple Fire' prefers a warm, subtropical to tropical climate. It can tolerate light frost once established but should be shielded from severe frost and cold winds. Optimal growth occurs at temperatures between 18-30°C. In cooler regions, it can be grown in pots and moved indoors during winter.
Use well-draining soil for Bougainvillea 'Temple Fire'. Sandy or loamy soils with good organic content are ideal. While it can adapt to poorer soils, it will show its best performance in nutrient-rich conditions. Ensure the soil remains moderately moist but not waterlogged to prevent root rot.
Fertilise your Bougainvillea 'Temple Fire' with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring. During the blooming season, switch to a high-potassium fertiliser to encourage abundant flowering. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilisers as they promote foliage growth over flowers. Be cautious not to over-fertilise, as this can lead to root damage.
