Plant Growing Tips

Where to Grow

Grevillea 'Royal Mantle' thrives in full sun. It is ideal for growing in gardens, as ground cover, or in large containers. Ensure the location has well-draining soil and good air circulation to prevent disease.

Climate

Grevillea 'Royal Mantle' prefers a warm, temperate to subtropical climate. It can tolerate light frost once established but should be protected from severe frost and cold winds. Ideal temperatures range between 10-30°C.

Soil Type

This plant prefers well-drained soils, including clay loams or sandy soils with a neutral to acidic pH. It is tolerant of saline and coastal conditions, making it a versatile choice for various garden settings. Ensure the soil is well-drained to promote healthy growth and prevent root rot.

Fertilizer

Use a well-draining soil. Sandy or loamy soils with good organic matter are ideal. This plant is tolerant of poor soils but will flourish in richer conditions. Ensure the soil remains moderately moist but not waterlogged.

Fertilise your Grevillea 'Royal Mantle' with a low-phosphorus, slow-release fertiliser in spring and autumn. Avoid using high-phosphorus fertilisers, as Grevilleas are sensitive to phosphorus.
