Grevillea Honey Gem is a vigorous evergreen large shrub / small tree with attractive fern like foliage that produces honey gold flowers throughout the year with the main flowering season in winter. prune back by about a third after main flowering and tip prune during summer. Grow in part shade or full sun. Honey gem is a favourite with many nectar eating birds, and is frost tolerant

Where to Grow

Grevillea 'Honey Gem' thrives in full sun to part shade. It is best planted in an open space where it can spread comfortably. Ideal for use as a feature plant, screen, or in an informal hedge.


This plant prefers warm climates but can tolerate light frosts. It grows best in temperatures ranging from 15°C to 30°C and is suitable for sub-tropical to warm temperate regions.


Grevillea 'Honey Gem' prefers moderate humidity levels. It can withstand occasional dry spells but will benefit from occasional watering during prolonged dry periods.

Soil Type

This Grevillea variety prefers well-drained soils. It grows well in sandy, loamy, or clay loam soils with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. Ensure the soil is not waterlogged to prevent root rot.
